On most devices, there are two available inputs that can be installed into a vehicle and named to track various \u201caccessory\u201d needs in the vehicle. \u00a0Whether a PTO is Engaged\/Disengaged, whether a vehicle\u2019s emergency lights are On\/Off, or even tracking where a city Sweeper vehicle has swept can be monitored at no additional cost by using this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1UrM8qh89YjogGaFbPAF3_wP3O7sxKwj6\/view\"><strong>Installation of Wired Device with PTO<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/17J_AAdGE4kx-oFzIAdNF-zWiseQvA7_r\/view\"><strong>Installation of Wired Device with Data Based PTO<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Installation<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Input 1<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Input 1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (free blue wire) comes from the wiring harness and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">puts out a constant low voltage. \u00a0We will use monitoring PTO for this installation example:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although it does not necessarily need to be connected directly to the vehicle input (like PTO), it must be connected to a power source relating to the PTO in the vehicle that is in. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The power source should be hot (receiving a constant 12V-24V) when the PTO is <\/span><b>not<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in use and then receive a ground when the PTO is being used. \u00a0Most vehicle systems ground the switch when the PTO is being used. \u00a0If it is the reverse case, let us know and we can adjust the profile to reflect this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the PTO switch inside of your vehicle does not switch completely to ground but instead reduces voltage, you can use a relay to get a true ground. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The wiring of this relay allows the PTO wire to ground out whenever a 12v signal from your switch is received.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1388\" 259px) 100vw, 259px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Input 2<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Input 2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (free orange wire) comes from the wiring harness and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">puts out a constant low voltage. \u00a0It can be installed in the same way as Input 1, but given a different name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>View GPI Readings and Reports<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;When the Device Profile is assigned, every reading will display the status. \u00a0You can see this in Web-Based reports under Readings (for line by line), under Trips (see with colors where it traveled with and without GPI), and under the profile specific GPI report that will appear. \u00a0In this case it is \u201cPTO\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2243\"
