{"id":1498,"date":"2017-12-06T22:45:50","date_gmt":"2017-12-06T22:45:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/?page_id=1498"},"modified":"2019-02-28T10:45:22","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T15:45:22","slug":"driver-options","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/index.php\/driver-options\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver Options"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back to <a href=\"\/index.php\/eld-learning-center\/\"><strong>ELD Driver App<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Driver Options<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Driver Options<\/strong> menu allows access to various hours of service tasks including the following: management of vehicle\/trailer information, adding of documents and remarks, reviewing of logs, and displaying of how much driving time you will gain after off duty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Go to the <b>Hours of Services Main Screen<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1106\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Screenshot_20170605-112323.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><br \/>\nTap on the <b>Options<\/b> button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-357 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/options-button1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"64\"> after which the <b>Options<\/b> screen will be displayed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>\u2018Vehicle\/Trailer\u2019 button<\/b>: This functions in the same manner as the \u2018Switch Truck\u2019 feature.\n<ul>\n<li>The Switch Truck feature allows a driver to easily \u2018switch\u2019 from one vehicle to another. It also assists in monitoring and documenting the vehicles being used as part of their driver logs. <b>(See the Switch Truck Help Page for reference.)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>\u2018Gain Time\u2019 button<\/b>: Displays how much driving time you will gain after going Off Duty.<br \/>\n<b>The following are the different pop up message dialog for the Gain Time At action:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Off Duty (Initial Status)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-265\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DriverOptions-4.jpg\" alt=\"DriverOptions-4\" width=\"357\" height=\"129\"><b><i><br \/>\n(Note:<\/i><\/b><i> The values change as the status changes.)<\/i><\/li>\n<li>On Duty or Driving<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-266\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DriverOptions-5.jpg\" alt=\"DriverOptions-5\" width=\"337\" height=\"129\"><\/li>\n<li>Sleeper\/Off Duty<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-267\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DriverOptions-6.jpg\" alt=\"DriverOptions-6\" width=\"294\" height=\"129\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>\u2018Shipping Docs\u2019 button<\/b><b>: <\/b>This enables you to provide the transport document (manifest) that serves as the detailed summary of all the bills of lading issued by a particular carrier for a particular travel of a particular vehicle. The information of the shipper (the person or company that sends or transports the products) and raw materials or products sold or bought are also provided.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-268\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DriverOptions-7.png\" alt=\"DriverOptions-7\" width=\"431\" height=\"200\"><br \/>\n<b><i>(Note: <\/i><\/b><i>Entered data will be retained within the fields after clicking \u2018Ok\u2019 button.)<\/i><\/li>\n<li><b>\u2018Exception\u2019 button<\/b>: The options that will appear here will allow the driver to enable various exceptions from the HOS rules for as long as certain conditions are met as stipulated in the Hours of Service section of the Code of Federal Regulation (49 CFR Part 395.1 \u2013 Hours of Service of Drivers \u2013 Scope of rules in this part) and other pertinent FMCSA regulations.Tap on the OK button to apply your exception\/s. To indicate that the driver has entered a normal road again, uncheck the Off Road or Toll Road option. This will create a remark with a <\/span><b>Note<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b>On Road<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>End Toll Road<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, respectively.<br \/>\n<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1027\" style=\"border: solid 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/driver-options-remarks-logs-1706.png\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i><br \/>\n(Note:<\/i><\/b><i>The location field will populate automatically if your GPS is turned on and a location is detected.)<\/i><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-659\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Screenshot_2016-06-21-15-10-34.png\" width=\"375\" height=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p>After clicking \u2018Ok\u2019 button, remarks added are seen in the <b>Driver\u2019s Log.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>\u2018Data Transfer\u2019 button<\/b>: This is where you can display the dialog with the supported data transfer options.\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-894\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/mini-data-transfer.png\" alt=\"mini-data-transfer\" width=\"125\" height=\"40\"> Data Transfer button.<\/li>\n<li>The Data Transfer dialog with then be shown.
