This helps to ensure that your vehicle conforms to the FMCSA\u2019s safety regulations.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Different ways to go to DVIR Page:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Main Navigation Menu<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Slide to the right or tap the <strong>Main Navigation Hamburger <\/strong>icon <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-120\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ins-1.jpg\" alt=\"ins-1\" width=\"32\" height=\"42\"> to show the main navigation menu.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the <strong>DVIR <\/strong>option in the Main Navigation menu.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1186\" style=\"border: 1px solid;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Screenshot_20170815-083850.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>DVIR Button<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <strong>Hours Of Service Main Screen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1106\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Screenshot_20170605-112323.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"> <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tap on the <strong>DVIR button<\/strong>, it will lead you to the DVIR page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When a driver manually\/automatically change to \u2018Driving\u2019 event without completing the Pre-trip DVIR, a toast message will be displayed at the bottom of app stating: \u201c<em>Please perform a Pre-trip DVIR<\/em>\u201c.<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1185\" style=\"border: 1px solid;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Screenshot_20170815-083944.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>It will also create a \u2018Remark\u2019 event with a note \u2018<em>Autogenerated:<\/em> <em>Pre-trip DVIR not performed.<\/em>\u2019<\/li>\n<li>The Remark event will be created once after it detects or when a first Driving event on the shift cycle is created.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, an <strong>alert<\/strong> is sent only once for each vehicle that begins to drive without having done a Pre-Trip DVIR.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Setting Up Your DVIR Type<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You can select a <strong>DVIR<\/strong><strong> Form<\/strong> from the drop downs (Vehicle\/Trailer).<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1288\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dvir-select-form-1721.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"313\"><br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Highlighted text only displays when conducting an inspection for the first time and that no DVIR forms are associated to the current equipment used.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vehicle Form<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1290\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dvir-vehicle-form-1721.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"313\"><\/li>\n<li>Trailer Form<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1303\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dvir-trailer-form-1721.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"313\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Notes:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some Equipment has an associated form, so whenever the driver tries to change the form a pop up dialog will show. Clicking \u2018OK\u2019 will automatically change the forms used with the associated ones.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-398 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/410.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"84\"><\/li>\n<li>Once a new driver has logon to the app, the forms for the Vehicles\/Trailers ID used by the prior driver shouldn\u2019t retain. Form fields are empty.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application also supports generation of the DVIR Reports when in Offline mode. The DVIR Reports are then stored locally in the <\/span><b>App Name<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s directory, same location as to where the Driver\u2019s Daily log PDFs are stored.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Choose the appropriate <strong>DVIR Type<\/strong> from the following options:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pre:<\/strong> A DVIR conducted before driving the CMV.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Post:<\/strong> A DVIR conducted after driving a CMV.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ad Hoc:<\/strong> Any DVIR conducted in any other period than the ones specified above.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignnone wp-image-1292\" style=\"line-height: 1.5; border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dvir-select-type-1721.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"219\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Choose the appropriate <strong>Inspector Type<\/strong> from the following options:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Driver:<\/strong> The current driver conducted the DVIR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mechanic:<\/strong> A mechanic conducted the DVIR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other:<\/strong> Another personnel conducted the DVIR.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignnone wp-image-1293\" style=\"line-height: 1.5; border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dvir-select-inspector-type-1721.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"219\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Starting Your DVIR <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tap the <strong>Inspect Button<\/strong> to start the inspection, you will be directed to the <strong>DVIR Page<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1233 size-full\" style=\"border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/dvir-inspect-button.png\" width=\"89\" height=\"40\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>When you are Off Duty, you are not allowed to do a DVIR. Instead when you do so attempt to conduct a DVIR, a dialog will pop-out and ask if you want to go On Duty before starting a DVIR.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-444\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/inspect-dialog.jpg\" alt=\"inspect dialog\" width=\"350\" height=\"107\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Completing the First DVIR Area<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The 1st <strong>DVIR Area<\/strong> is selected by default, you can also tap its corresponding tab to display the DVIR items under this area.<\/li>\n<li>You can select the status of each <strong>DVIR Item<\/strong> by tapping their respective tri-state check-boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the unselected check-box once or select the green <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-140\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ins-11.png\" alt=\"ins-11\" width=\"32\" height=\"31\"><strong>Thumbs Up<\/strong> Icon to specify that the item is in a good condition.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the unselected check-box twice or select the red <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ins-12.png\" alt=\"ins-12\" width=\"32\" height=\"33\"> <strong>Thumbs Down<\/strong> Icon to specify that the item is in a bad condition.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the unselected check-box thrice or select the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-139\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ins-13.png\" alt=\"ins-13\" width=\"32\" height=\"33\"> <strong>Not Applicable <\/strong><strong>Icon<\/strong> to specify that the item is not applicable for the current DVIR.<\/li>\n<li>A \u201c<strong>Check All<\/strong>\u201d button will appear if it is enabled in your account to check all points automatically.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1234\" style=\"border: 1px solid;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/dvir-inspect-areas-select-all.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"313\"><\/li>\n<li>If you wish to capture an image of the DVIR item, you can tap on the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-137\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ins-14.png\" alt=\"ins-14\" width=\"34\" height=\"25\"> <strong>Camera Button<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Camera app will then appear, proceed to take a picture of the DVIR item.<\/li>\n<li>After tapping the <strong>Capture Image Button<\/strong>, select the <strong>Save<\/strong> button to save the image and add it to your item report.
