The ELD provides a standardized single-step compilation for the driver\u2019s ELD records and initiation of the data transfer to authorized safety officials when requested during a roadside inspection.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong><u>The following are the different ways to access the Data Transfer dialog<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><strong>Main Navigation Menu<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"a\">\n<li>Swipe in from the left edge of the screen, or tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-171\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/78.png\" alt=\"78\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\"><strong>Main Navigation Hamburger<\/strong> icon to show the main navigation menu.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the <b>Roadside Inspection<\/b> option in the Main Navigation Drawer, after which the roadside inspection screen will then be displayed.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1149\" style=\"border: 1px solid;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screenshot_20170619-103815.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><\/li>\n<li>Tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-894\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/mini-data-transfer.png\" alt=\"mini-data-transfer\" width=\"125\" height=\"40\"> Data Transfer button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Driver Options<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the <strong>HOS Main Dashboard.<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1148\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screenshot_20170619-103834.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\"><\/li>\n<li>Tap the <strong>Options button.<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-357 \" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/options-button1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"56\"><\/li>\n<li>Tap the <strong>Data Transfer button.<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-896 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/min-data-transfer.png\" alt=\"min-data-transfer\" width=\"175\" height=\"83\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Transferring Data<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Once the <strong>Data Transfer<\/strong> button is tapped, a selection of the supported data transfer options by the ELD will prompt to the user.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-712 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/image15-min.jpg\" alt=\"image15-min\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\"><\/li>\n<li><strong>Select Vehicle <\/strong>\u2013 this option enables the ELD to produce a data file or a series of data files of ELD records for a subset of its vehicles used by the driver. Tap on the menu to show the list of vehicles then select.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-991 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1704-data-transfer-vehicles-min.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> \u2018All Vehicles\u2019 option will only display on the list when the driver has already driven multiple vehicles for the day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Transfer via Bluetooth<\/strong> \u2013 this option enables the user to transfer files through Bluetooth. The ELD prompts the output file comment in which the driver may or may not input as specified in section 4.3.2.5. After the input, if Bluetooth is not yet turned on, a prompt will appear asking you to turn it on.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-664\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bluetooth-ofc-turnon.png\" alt=\"bluetooth ofc-turnon\" width=\"1200\" height=\"220\">You will then be asked to pick the device to which the data will be transferred via Bluetooth.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-662 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bluetooth-choose.png\" alt=\"bluetooth choose\" width=\"378\" height=\"444\"><\/li>\n<li><strong>Transfer via Email<\/strong> \u2013 this option enables the user to transfer files through email. The ELD output file transferred is encrypted using AES-256 in FIPS Publication 197. Before sending, the ELD prompts the output file comment in which the driver may or may not input as specified in section 4.3.2.5.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-665\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/email-ofc.png\" alt=\"email ofc\" width=\"351\" height=\"159\">The device\u2019s default email application will then be opened before sending the email to which the data will be transferred.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-992 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1704-data-transfer-email-send-min.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\"><\/li>\n<li><strong>Transfer via USB<\/strong> \u2013 this option enabled the user to transfer files through USB (external devices). However, prior to saving the driver\u2019s ELD file to an external storage\/device, the ELD re-authenticates the driver account by asking for its password.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-993 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1704-data-transfer-password-min.png\" width=\"351\" height=\"172\">If the authentication process is successful, the driver can now select on where to save the ELD file.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-598\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Main-Dashboard-Data-Transfer-Path-1610.png\" alt=\"Main Dashboard Data Transfer Path - 1610\" width=\"351\" height=\"179\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Output File Comment <\/strong>\u2013 After selecting a data transfer option, the ELD prompts the output file comment in which the driver may or may not input as specified in section 4.3.2.5. The ELD accommodates the entry of an output file comment up to 60 characters long<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-575\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/1609-main_dashboard_output_file-1.png\" width=\"352\" height=\"160\">Upon confirmation, the ELD generates the compliant output file and performs the data transfer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Emails not Arriving &#8211; Settings for Success<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"left\">If your emailed logs are not arriving to the inbox of the user, ensure that the phone or tablet that you are using has an active Internet connection.&nbsp; This applies to the receiving party as well as they will need an Internet connection for the email to arrive into their inbox.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Once sent, the user may need to check their&nbsp; email&#8217;s Spam folder if it did not arrive to their primary inbox within one minute.&nbsp; If it still does not arrive, then you will need to review the settings on your InTouch ELD app to ensure they are set to send this successfully.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong><u>Below are three steps for setting the email sender to &#8220;App&#8221;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Go to Settings<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1970 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0845-187x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0845-187x300.png 187w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0845-768x1229.png 768w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0845-640x1024.png 640w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0845.png 878w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 187px) 100vw, 187px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Click on the Hours of Service option under Settings<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1971\" src=\"http:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0851-300x129.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"129\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0851-300x129.png 300w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0851-768x331.png 768w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0851.png 892w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Scroll down and select App as the email sender option<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1972\" src=\"http:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0852-300x154.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0852-300x154.png 300w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0852-768x395.png 768w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2018-03-16_0852.png 849w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In-order to email your logs, you must have an app on your phone or tablet that is signed-in and connected to a functioning email.&nbsp; This can be the Gmail app or a generic Email app.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Below is how to setup your email on a generic email app<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start by adding your Email Account by opening the Email app and entering your existing email address into it.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Next, select the type of email account you will be using.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>POP3<\/strong>&nbsp;will download the emails from the server and store them on your phone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IMAP<\/strong>&nbsp;will store the emails on the server and show a cached copy on your phone. IMAP is best in most cases.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exchange<\/strong>&nbsp;is not supported because it requires a Microsoft Exchange server<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select your Server Settings\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p id=\"incoming\">Incoming Server Settings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Username:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter your full email address<\/li>\n<li><strong>Password:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter the password for your email account<\/li>\n<li><strong>Server:<\/strong>&nbsp;This is your domain name preceded by &#8220;mail.&#8221; like mail.example.com.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Port<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If you&#8217;re using&nbsp;<strong>POP<\/strong>, choose either:\n<ul>\n<li>Secure &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Port:<\/strong>&nbsp;995 and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;SSL\/TLS (Accept all certificates)<\/li>\n<li>Insecure &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Port:<\/strong>&nbsp;110 and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;None<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re using&nbsp;<strong>IMAP<\/strong>, choose either:\n<ul>\n<li>Secure &#8211; Port: 993 and Security Type: SSL\/TLS (Accept all certificates)<\/li>\n<li>Insecure &#8211; Port: 143 and Security Type: None (Accept all certificates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once the settings are entered, tap&nbsp;<strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"outgoing\">\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p id=\"outgoing\">Outgoing Server Settings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Require Sign-In<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Username:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter your full email address<\/li>\n<li><strong>Password:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter the password for your email account<\/li>\n<li><strong>Server:<\/strong>&nbsp;This is your domain name preceded by &#8220;mail.&#8221; like mail.example.com.<\/li>\n<li>For SMTP&nbsp;<strong>Port<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type<\/strong>, choose either:\n<ul>\n<li>Secure &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Port:<\/strong>&nbsp;465 and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;SSL\/TLS (Accept all certificates)<\/li>\n<li>Insecure &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Port:<\/strong>&nbsp;26 and&nbsp;<strong>Security Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;None (Accept all certificates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once the settings are entered, tap&nbsp;<strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Enter the password for your email address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back to ELD Driver App Data Transfer This will show the dialog displaying the supported data transfer options.
