To exit Switch Equipment form, tap the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> button.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nNote<\/strong>: When the vehicle is in motion, neither the main driver or a logged in co-driver is allowed to switch trucks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Managing Vehicles\/Trailers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can <strong><em>add<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>update<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>delete<\/em><\/strong> Vehicles\/Trailers by tapping the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-253\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Manage.jpg\" alt=\"Manage\" width=\"127\" height=\"45\" \/> <strong>Manage button <\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">which will then display the Manage Vehicles\/Trailers screen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2367 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/1719-main-dashboard-switch-equipment-dialog-manage-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/1719-main-dashboard-switch-equipment-dialog-manage-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wiki.intouchgps.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/1719-main-dashboard-switch-equipment-dialog-manage.jpg 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-997\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/1704-switch-equipment-manage-min.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u2018<strong>Manage<\/strong>\u2018 button is only available given a situation, that the driver is an asset admin and that the \u2018Manage Equipment\u2019 option (<em>found in the Driver Management Page<\/em>) is also enabled. Otherwise, the button will not be available on the Switch Equipment dialog.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Adding Vehicle\/Trailers<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-229\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Add-button-icon.png\" alt=\"Add button icon\" width=\"49\" height=\"41\" \/> <strong>Add <\/strong>button.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-585\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Switch-Truck-Headers-1610.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"51\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Fill in the vehicle name in the <strong>Vehicle Name <\/strong>field.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fill in the VIN in the <\/span><b>VIN <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">field.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fill in the License Number in the <\/span><b>License Plate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field and its state in the <strong>License Plate State<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Select vehicle type in the <strong>Vehicle Type<\/strong> drop-down list.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1295\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1721-switch-equipment-dialog-geo.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"556\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Then, tap the <strong>Add<\/strong> button to successfully add the vehicle\/trailer. You can also cancel adding the vehicle\/trailer by tapping the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> button<strong><br \/>\nNote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When creating\/modifying an equipment with a selected type of \u201c<\/span><b>Trailer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, the VIN field is disabled and enabled if the equipment type selected is \u201c<\/span><b>Vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1296\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1721-switch-equipment-dialog-trailer.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"312\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When creating\/modifying a <\/span><b>Trailer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the name must only contain alphanumeric characters, must not have spaces nor exceed 10 characters.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1297\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1721-switch-equipment-dialog-trailer-error.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"314\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When creating\/modifying an equipment with a selected type of \u201c<\/span><b>Vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, and the Connection Type is \u201dDigi WVA\u201d, then the admin password field is required.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1298\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1721-switch-equipment-dialog-digi.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"610\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, if no device was selected during the creation of the equipment, the default selected device option is set to \u201cNone\u201d and all the other fields on the ELD configuration section will be hidden.<br \/>\n<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1299\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1721-switch-equipment-dialog-none.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"432\" \/><\/li>\n<li>When a vehicle does not provide engine hours and odometer values, switch on the <strong>Use GPS Odometer<\/strong> and <strong>Use Calculated Engine Hours <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>When establishing a connection to the VBUS device, the <strong>Vehicle VIN<\/strong> is one of the required data elements that needs to be present in all logs and DVIRs. Currently the app initially uses the VIN if it is present in the data set received from the device. However, If the app cannot acquire the VIN from the VBUS device then it uses the one present in the Equipment which<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be auto converted to capital letters when saved<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Updating Vehicles\/Trailers<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-235\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Edit-button.jpg\" alt=\"Edit button\" width=\"42\" height=\"44\" \/> <strong>Edit<\/strong> button to edit Vehicle\/Trailer.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-997\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/1704-switch-equipment-manage-min.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"255\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Update the appropriate fields in the <strong>Edit Vehicle\/Trailer<\/strong> form.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1265\" style=\"border: 1px solid; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/1719-switch-equipment-dialog-edit-digi.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"610\" \/><\/li>\n<li>To save the changes you made, tap the <strong>Save <\/strong>button. You can also cancel modifying the Vehicle\/Trailer by tapping the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deleting Vehicles\/Trailers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tip: <\/strong>The current selected Vehicle\/Trailer can\u2019t be deleted<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tap the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-231\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Delete-icon.jpg\" alt=\"Delete icon\" width=\"42\" height=\"43\" \/> <b>Delete <\/b>button.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-997\" src=\"http:\/\/developer.vistracks.com\/hos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/1704-switch-equipment-manage-min.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"255\" \/><\/li>\n<li>To successfully remove the vehicle\/trailer, tap the <strong>Delete<\/strong> button. You can also tap the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> button to cancel deleting the vehicle\/trailer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Searching Vehicles\/Trailers<\/strong>On the Switch Truck dialog the driver is allowed to filter the vehicle and trailer list through text entry, <em>ex: typing in \u2018Trailer 8\u2019<\/em> and seeing a list of the trailers that begin with the number 8.
